Anybody done this?
Two drinks, ordinary drinks that is... per day, for 30 days, and don't skip a day.
Do that and you're not alky.
Have you really done this? Have you been asked? If so, why did you/did you not do it? If you did it, what was the result? If you didn't, what thoughts went through your head? How did you respond to those who asked you?
Have you put someone on to this and what happened to them?
I know some people who claim they've put people on this and that they passed and left A.A. as being non alcoholic.
Hypothetically, that could be true. But I haven't seen it with my own eyes.
Big Book talks about going to the nearest baroom and trying some controlled drinking. Do it more than once... eventually, you'll get a full knowledge of your condition.
The biggest reason that I'd never do that is because, whenever I decide I'm gonna go drink, I do... and there ain't no test. I go get drunk. Why the hell would you even want to do controlled drinking? If you're gonna drink, drink, right?
I'm trying to remember in my mind... what the physical craving feels like. The thing is for me... there is not feeling of craving for me... unless I'm abruptly separated from alcohol. When I'm drinking, it feels so right... so natural to just drink em down hard and fast. The thought of being without the next one at that point is pure torchure... hell.
Now... I hear a rumor that this is not normal. But it is for me.
What's the virdict on the Marty Mann? Urban legion? Fact? Do you use it?
